Dead Fish Sparks Toxic Algae Suspicion

- Toxic algae blooms are suspected in Nordland following the report of 550 tons of dead famed salmon over the last ten days.

The fish deaths were first detected in a plant in Sørfold.
Last weekend, dead fish were also noted in a facility in Tysfjord.
Fisheries authorities are urging farmers in the area to keep a watchful eye on the situation, in case of the spread of any harmful algal growth.
